Toby's Homemade Ice Cream Reviews
Yummm!!! I've been wanting to check out Toby's for a while now. Finally had a chance and did not disappoint. I went specifically for the Ube ice cream, it was soooo good. I love Ube, and usually I think places make it too artificial tasting, but not Toby's. He hit the mark!
I love ice cream and I can't believe I've never been here before. This is truly one of those ice cream shops that does things right. You can tell their ice cream is homemade. They offer many flavors, some unique and some classics. Wide variety in the menu AND affordable! I got 2 scoops and my boyfriend got one and it was only $10. The ice cream it self was creamy and clearly homemade. There were 3 teens working behind the counter - they were eager to help, knowledgable about the flavors, pleasant, and clearly had a system down! They greeted us, gave us samples, scooped our ice cream while another rung us up. I love seeing young workers with such drive and great work ethic, gives me hope for future generations!
I was told the ice cream here was really good so was super excited to try it. I got mint Oreo, i ordered a small but there was a decent amount of ice cream. It was super creamy and delicious! Price was pretty fair for the size too. The shop is pretty small so you may not be able to sit inside. Service was great too!
When we pulled up and the line was out the door on a Sunday night, we knew it was going to be good. Although the line was long, we progressed through quickly. When it was our turn it felt efficient, but not rushed. The difficulty is, the flavors on the screen are different than what's in the case, so once you get up and can see the case you have to make a split second decision. I opted for their speciality, the ube and really enjoyed it! Looking forward to coming back!
5 stars on service. The girl at the counter was super helpful and made recommendations on flavors. Bonus points for letting me do flavors with half scoop each because I was too full to have 2 scoops. I had very high expectations of the icecream though and it fell short on the texture and taste. Not as creamy and maybe the flavor I picked wasn't the right one. I had the chocolate peanut butter and banana. The place is great though.
